WHAT IS REIKI ?
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a word of Japanese origin meaning “Universal Life Energy” (Rei meaning universal; ki meaning energy). It is the universal energy force that surrounds and sustains us on the planet. Reiki is intelligent and spiritually guided universal energy. It was practiced by the Tibetan monks about 2500 years ago as a spiritual discipline.

HOW IS REIKI GIVEN TO PEOPLE?
Reiki is given to people by a practitioner laying his hands on the person. The practitioner uses a series of hand positions on all parts of the body (front and back) to transfer the Reiki energy. The practitioner is as a “conduit” or “channel “for the Reiki energy.  In cases where the body cannot be touched ( severe burns , bruises , etc. ) the practitioner can lay their hands directly above the challenged area . Reiki can be given to animals, plants and objects by the same means.
